Booking Terms and ConditionsGuthreys Coachlines (GCL) is the trading name of Hayward Coachlines Ltd (HCL), which is the holder of a Passenger Services Licence to provide coach transport services throughout New Zealand.
All bookings are accepted subject to the following terms and conditions and by confirming your booking you accept that these terms and conditions will apply.
Currency:
All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include New Zealand's goods and services tax (GST) at the applicable rate at time quote is accepted.
Credit Card Payments:
Should you choose to pay by credit card (we currently accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex & Diners) HCL will charge an additional fee of 3% of the value of the booking.
Deposit and Final Payment plus Late Payment Fees:
HCL require the payment of 10% of total quote or $100 non-refundable deposit (whichever is greater). If Deposit is not received within 3 working days of your acceptance, HCL reserves the right to cancel booking without notice.
Full and final payment is due 4 working days prior to the date of travel. In some cases and solely at the discretion of HCL, agreement may be given to accept payment to driver on date of travel. Credit facilities are available on application to HCL for regular users and approval is at the sole discretion of HCL in all cases.
All late payments are liable for a 3% late payment fee for each 7 day period they remain outstanding on top of any collection costs that HCL incur in collecting said outstanding debt.
Cancellations:
In the event that you cancel your booking, HCL reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee as follows;
§ Bookings cancelled greater than 4 days prior to travel - Loss of deposit.
§ Bookings cancelled between 4 days and day of travel, but not prior to 24 hours before time/date of travel - 50% of value of booking.
§ Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of time/date of travel - 100% of value of booking.
Amendments:
Any amendments you make to your booking after confirmation can only be accepted subject to availability. HCL reserves the right to charge an amendment fee in respect to each and every amendment in addition to any other applicable charges in relation to each amendment.
Drivers Meals & Accommodation:
Should you agree to organize accommodation for our driver then it must be in a private room with ensuite facilities and meet a standard that is acceptable to HCL in all cases. The driver can decide to accept lesser accommodation if he/she so wishes.
All meals must be supplied that meet food industry standards.
Should you not provide the accommodation and meals then HCL will provide them and the costs will be added onto the quoted price and form part of your contract with HCL, which you accept liability for.
Liability:
HCL has no liability for any act, omission or default, whether negligent or otherwise of any staff member, supplier or third party. HCL have no liability for any loss or damage caused by any mechanical failure of any coach’s use on your work. In circumstances where liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the value of the agreed and purchased travel arrangements.
Other Conditions of Booking:
Food & Beverage Consumption; these are not to be consumed on any vehicle without prior approval. In such circumstances (of approval being given) payment of a bond may be required to cover the risk of damage to the vehicle. Your responsibilities for any damage are in accordance with these terms and conditions.
Smoking; Smoking is not permitted by law on any vehicle supplied by HCL.
Damage to Vehicle; you are responsible for any damage caused to a vehicle as a direct result of any action or non-action taken by any passengers while travelling as a result of your booking. You will not be responsible for payment of any damages caused by an employee of HCL or its suppliers. In all cases the driver of any vehicle will have the discretion to stop the vehicle and disembark those passengers engaging in unacceptable or unruly behavior.
Soilage Charges; The current charge for HCL cleaning up any soilage is $200 and is subject to increase without notice. This applies to any soilage no matter of cause or type.
Quotation:
Prices are current at the time of quotation and subject to availability at time of booking. All quoted prices include GST, unless stated otherwise. HCL reserves the right to pass on, without notice, any increases that may occur in any applicable airport charges, road tolls, entry fees or parking charges.
